We have been in the air filtration business for over 12 years and have designed our mask with materials used in the top performing mask in the world.
99% of the Cloth masks currently on the market are made by companies that had to retool from a previous business and have not filtration experience. Cloth masks offer no protection to the wearer of the mask and offer protection to people close to the wearer from large droplets only.
KandyMask has been awarded GB/T 32610-2016 for daily protective use.
There are 4 grades to this test A, B, C and D. KandyMasks is considered an A grade mask for daily protective use which requires a 90% efficiency rate and our result shows we protect against 99.3% of particles.
Yes, the mask is washable by hand. Use drop of soap and some warm water to wash the mask by hand. Rinse the soap off your cloth then wipe it again and lay it up to dry.
Washing the mask doesn't clean the filter media as this is in between the outer layers. There are no real filters on the market that can be cleaned. A filter is meant to get dirty because that is its primary function.
It all depends in what kind of environment you live in and how often you use it. The typical shelf life KandyMask is around 6 to 12 months. Once you notice it becoming harder to breathe through the material it is usually the time to replace it.

The dual valve system opens when you exhale to let moisture out making the mask more comfortable to wear for long periods of time. The valve automatically closes during inhalation to prevent harmful airborne contaminants from entering your lungs. By using valves on the mask the internal heat of the mask is reduced by about 10 degrees.
